Holidays are Closing In....

As the holidays are closing in there is a lot of work to be done. Remember the "Good old days"

When I was a young child back in the fifties, of course we didn't have a lot of electronic things, So we made things to do. We played marbles in the gutters, we tied string to cars and pulled them around, we played jacks on cold days on the floor in the kitchen( and man could my dad play jacks well), I had a hop scotch on the floor in the garage. In my room was a doll that made tears, (Tiny Tears) and I had the biggest stack of paper dolls. and yes then came Barbie, who's almost as old as I am but she's looking good. She became a favorite .

But hide and seek out side and ,playing baseball, were great, the whole neighborhood came out, and in my neighborhood lots of boys. So it was great when dad made me a playhouse out back, just for girls. I spent a lot time there alone dreaming of the future. ,,, I have a lot of memories GOOD memories. Of days of peace, love, respect, and penny candy. Vacations every year to see family who lived a distance away. Family picnics, neighborhood gatherings, and people caring when someone in the neighborhood was on strike or out of work. People smiling and saying Hi, my mom being home after school, running the Brownie Troop and the Girl Scouts. AND I think the most important of all was not being afraid. and sorry, homemade cookies and bread. Turning the crank for ice cream and eating the cream off the top of the bottle of milk when it was delivered to the door. I miss all these things today, IT IS THE FUTURE, I would like the fifties back for my grandchildren and so on. If you have the oppurtunity and/or the capability to work from home, and enjoy the memories of the "good old days" take advantage of it with activities and fun, our kids grow up fast, and keep the memory Alive.

It's Just ME!

I once ran into an old man pushing a broom at a business, just smiling away as he swept. I asked him "why are you smiling?" he said "it's my 50th wedding anniversary today" I smiled with astonishment and asked "How could be with someone for so long?" he said "I get up in the morning and I think about ME." I was shocked that this man could say that, but as I walked away I realized, that if he was happy with himself, he could make her happy. So today I suggest to everyone, to get up in the mornings and look in the mirror get happy with you, with this you can make someone else happy.




This is a true story, and a very special one because I seen the man. Now maybe something that brings back a memory, that is different and special and personalized just for them, buy something or give something to your loved one, that shows just how special they are. being appreciated and feeling the gift of love will always be a cherished memory. In your personal life or in business, you always want to feel like your important, and knowing "ME" can make "You" happy in context.
